I was really pissed while watching one of the Taiwan entertainment news. Not that the hosts are not good~ it's the content & issues discussed that really turn me off. They have this call-in segment and a 14 year-old student, weighing 37kg, standing at 150cm called saying that she is fat at the tummy~ and the host actually gave her suggestions to slimming down... c'mon with a BMI of 16.4, she is not even considered healthy for the matter and the media is teaching her how to be slimmer? *gosh* taiwan maybe a shopping paradise~ with trendy and fashionable apparel and good night market with good food but their political scene appears to be child's play to me plus ridiculous media coverage portraying a superficial 'thin is beauty' mentality to teens reflects how much the society have to learn...
I just think that people who go for physical beauty are superficial~ what counts the most: inner beauty. and inner beauty came from being humble, generous, lighthearted and showing compassion for others.
