My So Called Life: Emerge- journey of discovery

And indeed, it was a wonderful journey of discovery for me as well as the kids, I hope. *=)

Dragged myself out of bed early morning at 8am after working late on Friday night~ Met up with fellow Yishun mentors & students at cdac centre at 9 am and we’re all set to go for SHG June Camp @ MOE Dairy farm.

‘Poison Water’

Little Daryl, having a strong sense of belonging for his properties was unwilling to contribute his shoe laces for the team at first. But when I walked away quietly after much persuasion, he came over and reluctantly allowed me to take off his shoe laces. I thank him thereafter and he said, ‘Why you will get angry when I dun give my shoe lace one!?!’. *Aren’t he CUTE?!? That sounds like what bf will tell me!! I think he’ll make a great boyfriend years later! Minus the endless questions that is~ =X

‘Budda-jump-over the wall’

I cheered & encouraged my kids when they were climbing over the wall. And thereafter, it’s ‘revenge’ time. They made me climb over this approximate 3 metres high wall!! I wasn’t very interested at first. It's only when Daryl said ‘Oei! Ni jiao wo zhuo ni mei you zhuo de!’. How embarrassing was that?!? And with the support of Pei Shan, Chee Xian and Zhao Hong~ they managed to pull/push/drag the 200 pounds gwen up the budda wall!!! Siming was there to encourage as well!!

*I really can’t imagine myself doing that without the help of ALL of them~ and the positive encouragement made such an unbelievable impact. Thank you all!
And, I climbed over the wall! No matter how un-glam I was on the way up~ I climbed over the wall yah! *haha! Thank you all! Really, really thank you all! *=)

'three-legged walk’

Due to lack of mentee I had the opportunity to play in this game of ‘three-legged walk’. As the name of the game suggest, we had to tie our legs together to complete a series of tasks! And Pei Shan and myself did it within the shortest time! *whee!

‘Night walk’

I have to admit that I am a timid mummy, my dear ger went to surrender my torch to the organizers!! That means I had to live without light source through the night trail. Timid gwen couldn’t help but borrowed (or begged rather) her object of security (his LED) from Zhao Hong! =/ The trail was in the end an interesting mind stretching exercise.

the view at the end of the trail was awesome! Sadly, my attitude camera went crazy in the day~ so I was unable to take any pretty picture of the night sky sparkling with stars and a nearly full moon. Nevertheless, it lies in our memory yah! *=)
